Indian painting has a very long tradition and history in Indian art, though because of the climatic conditions very few early examples survive. Indian paintings can be broadly classified as murals, miniatures and paintings on cloth. Dhokra is non–ferrous metal casting using the lost-wax casting technique. This sort of metal casting has been used in India for over 4,000 years and is still used.
